ordinary rate of pay

(1) For the purposes of sections 37, 60, 60A, 60D 60E and 60F, "ordinary rate of pay" means the total wages in cash, including cash allowance but excluding travelling allowances, which an employee is entitled under the terms of his agreement with his employer to receive for the normal hours of work for one day and "hourly rate of pay" means the ordinary rate of pay divided by the normal hours of work:

ordinary rate of pay

(a) "ordinary rate of pay" means wages as defined in section 2, whether calculated by the month, the week, the day, the hour, or by piece rate, or otherwise, which an employee is entitled to receive under the terms of his contract of service for the normal hours of work for one day, but does not include any payment for work done on a rest day or on any of the ten gazetted Public Holidays referred to in subsection (1) of section 60D or any paid holiday substituted therefor under section 60D; and
